The products violated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by making disease claims such as that ginger "may protect against Alzheimer's," that apple juice "reduces the risk of colon and lung cancer," and that beet juice "helps fight breast cancer," thereby establishing the products' intended use as drugs requiring FDA approval. The FDA identified these claims across multiple product webpages during a review conducted in November-December 2021, finding that the company was introducing and delivering these misbranded products into interstate commerce without proper drug approval or compliance.
