Summary

Greenfield Produce Imports failed to develop, maintain, and follow a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for imported produce including cassava, fresh young coconut, and fresh turmeric, violating section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L. During inspections conducted in January 2022 and March 2020, the FDA found the company was not performing required risk-based verification activities to ensure imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards.
