North30 LLC, a food importer based in Bellevue, Washington, failed to establish a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) as required by federal law for imported food products including Passion Fruit Sauce, Taro, and Mesona Extract. During FDA inspections conducted between March and May 2022, investigators found that the company had not developed, maintained, or followed any FSVP for the foods it imported, in violation of section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L. The company also failed to respond to the FDA 483a observations issued on April 8, 2022, documenting these compliance deficiencies.
