Jackson Health & Wellness Clinic was warned for marketing five herbal tea and supplement products as unapproved drugs through their websites, including Dr. Miller's Holy Tea, Super Holy Tea, Ultimate Tea, Be Free Spring Clean Herbal Detox, and Youthin Fatburners. The products carried disease claims—such as treating acid reflux, IBS, Crohn's Disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, parasites, and constipation—that violated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by establishing them as drugs requiring FDA approval before marketing. The FDA identified these violations during website reviews conducted in October 2022 and January 2023, determining that the therapeutic and medicinal claims made the products illegal to distribute in interstate commerce without proper drug authorization.
