CHS Inc./CHS River Plains, a grain elevator and medicated feed mill in North Dakota, failed to comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) requirements under 21 CFR Part 507 for hazard analysis and risk-based preventive controls for animal feed, resulting in adulterated products. The facility also violated Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) drug requirements under 21 CFR 558.6, producing unsafe VFD feed without adequate directions for use, and failed to meet CGMP standards for medicated feeds under 21 CFR Part 225.
