Sree Nidhi Corp, a food importer based in Charlotte, North Carolina, failed to establish a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for imported food products including Karivepaku with Garlic Spices and Semolina Course Wheat, in violation of section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR Part 1, Subpart L. During inspections conducted in March 2021 and April 2022, FDA investigators identified that the company did not develop, maintain, or follow any FSVP as required to verify that imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards. The company failed to respond to a Form FDA 483a issued on April 21, 2022, representing a repeated violation with no corrective action plan submitted.
