Turncoat Industries, Inc. was cited for manufacturing and selling e-liquid tobacco products without required premarket authorization orders, in violation of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. The FDA determined that e-liquids sold through the company's website (shopjohnnyapple.com) qualified as "new tobacco products" subject to FDA jurisdiction under section 910 of the FD&C Act, yet lacked the legally mandated marketing authorization needed for sale in the United States. The company failed to comply with deemed tobacco product regulations that have been in effect since August 8, 2016.
