Premier Food Supplies LLC failed to establish and maintain a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) as required by federal law for the food products it imported from foreign suppliers, including Boondi Plain, Nimbu Masala from Haldiram Snacks Pvt. Ltd. in India, and Cut Mango Pickle with Garlic from another Indian supplier. During an inspection conducted from March 14-23, 2023, the FDA found that the company did not develop an adequate FSVP to verify that imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards. This marked a continued compliance failure, as the company had also been inspected for similar issues in July 2020 and September 2017.
