Biopreventative Company LLC was warned for unlawfully selling unapproved and misbranded compounded drug products, including tadalafil, over the internet to U.S. consumers. The company's website contained false or misleading claims stating that "Tadalafil (commonly known as Cialis) is a compound medication," which implied the compounded products were equivalent to FDA-approved drugs when they are not. This violated sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, which prohibit false or misleading labeling and advertising of compounded drugs. The FDA's review of the company's website in August 2025 identified these violations as prohibited acts under section 301(a) of the FDCA.
