Reset IV, LLC was selling unapproved and misbranded compounded drugs (semaglutide and tirzepatide) online by making false or misleading claims that their products were "the same ingredient" as FDA-approved drugs like Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound, and Mounjaro. The company violated sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by using deceptive labeling and advertising that implied their non-FDA-approved compounded products were equivalent to approved medications, thereby introducing misbranded drugs into interstate commerce in violation of section 301(a) of the FDCA.
