Anglo Freight USA Inc., a food importer, failed to establish and maintain a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) as required by FDA regulations, despite multiple inspections between 2022 and 2024. The company did not develop any FSVP documentation for imported foods including flour and kumis, and its response to FDA's initial inspection observations contained no supporting documentation and was deemed inadequate. These violations represent a failure to comply with section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L, which requires importers to perform risk-based activities to verify that imported food meets U.S. food safety standards.
