Greco Gas, Inc. was cited for significant Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) violations in the manufacturing of drug products, specifically medical gases. FDA inspectors found that the company failed to conduct identity testing for each component lot of Oxygen, USP and Nitrogen, NF, and improperly relied on supplier certificates of analysis without validating the reliability of those suppliers' test results at appropriate intervals, in violation of 21 CFR 211.84(d)(1) and (d)(2). The company's April 2024 response to the FDA's inspection findings was deemed inadequate because the procedures submitted appeared unchanged from those observed during the March-April 2024 inspection.
