Golden Natural Products, an importer of food products including dried apricots, dried cherry plums, and noodles, failed to develop, maintain, and follow a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) as required by federal law. During inspections conducted in July 2023 and January 2022, the FDA found the company did not implement any FSVP procedures for the foods it imported, in violation of Section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR Part 1 Subpart L. The company did not respond to the FDA's Form FDA 483a observations issued on July 13, 2023, documenting these significant compliance failures.
