Jalisco Fresh Produce, Inc., an importer of food and beverages, failed to comply with the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements under section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act during FDA inspections conducted in February 2025 (with prior inspections in 2020 and 2022). The company did not develop, maintain, and follow a required FSVP to verify that imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards. Although the company responded on March 6, 2025, stating it would hire a third party for assistance, it failed to provide supporting documentation of corrective actions or additional FSVP documents to FDA for evaluation.
