Day Light Nutrition was cited for marketing four products—Above the Weather, Diabetic Support Blend, Joint Well, and ViruZap—as drugs without FDA approval by making disease claims on their website, including statements that the products treat flu symptoms, support diabetic blood sugar control, and reduce pain and inflammation. These marketing claims violated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by establishing the products as drugs intended to cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent disease, yet the company was selling them without obtaining required new drug approvals. The FDA identified the violations through a review of Day Light Nutrition's website in July 2023 and determined the company was unlawfully introducing these misbranded drug products into interstate commerce.
