MnM Spices Corporation failed to establish a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for imported food products including Steam Rice, Dates, and Pine Nuts, violating 21 CFR part 1 subpart L and section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The company had been cited for the same violation during an initial FSVP inspection in August 2018 and again during a follow-up inspection in February 2021, demonstrating a failure to implement corrective measures over a nearly three-year period. The FDA found that MnM Spices Corporation had not performed the required risk-based verification activities to ensure that imported food products met applicable U.S. food safety standards.
