Amor Nino Foods, Inc.'s seafood processing facility in Honolulu was found to have serious violations of the Seafood HACCP regulation (21 CFR Part 123) and CGMP & Preventive Controls rule (21 CFR Part 117) during an inspection conducted January 11-24, 2023. The company failed to establish and implement a compliant HACCP plan with properly defined critical limits, rendering their ready-to-eat Hawaiian Style Aku (Skipjack Tuna) Sticks adulterated as products prepared under insanitary conditions. Despite the firm's submission of corrective actions in February 2023, the FDA maintained serious concerns about the deficiencies in the HACCP program following review of the documentation.
