Dairy Feeds, Inc., a non-licensed medicated and non-medicated feed mill in Okeechobee, Florida, was cited for significant violations of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls regulations (21 CFR Part 507) that rendered their beef and dairy cattle feed products adulterated. The facility also failed to comply with veterinary feed directive (VFD) drug requirements under 21 CFR 558.6, resulting in unsafe and misbranded VFD feeds due to inadequate labeling and directions for use. These violations were discovered during an FDA inspection conducted in December 2021 and constituted prohibited acts under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
