Green Day Produce, Inc. failed to comply with Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements for seafood mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, and Taiwanese mangos imported from foreign suppliers. During inspections conducted in February 2024 (following prior inspections in August 2023 and February 2023), the FDA found that the company did not adequately evaluate its foreign suppliers' performance and food safety compliance in accordance with 21 CFR Part 1, Subpart L. The company's violations of section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act were significant enough to warrant formal enforcement action despite the company's February 27, 2024 response to FDA observations.
