JC Finest Produce Inc failed to develop, maintain, and follow a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for any of the fresh produce it imported into the United States, including Persian limes, rambutan, and Thai bananas, in violation of section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L. The company did not respond to the FDA's Form FDA 483a observations issued following inspections conducted in July-August 2023 and March 2024. These violations demonstrate the company's failure to perform risk-based verification activities required to ensure imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards.
