Barohup Inc., a food and beverage importer, failed to comply with the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) regulation required under section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. During inspections conducted in 2023 and 2024, the FDA identified that the company did not develop, maintain, and follow an FSVP for most of the foods it imported, as mandated by 21 CFR 1.502(a). Although Barohup submitted responses indicating intent to discontinue importation from certain suppliers, the company provided no supporting documentation to demonstrate that planned or completed corrective actions had been implemented.
