The company promoted the product through Facebook posts and directed customers to purchase it on Amazon and Only Natural Pet Store, making disease treatment claims that classified it as a drug requiring FDA approval. The FDA determined the product was an unapproved new animal drug based on its intended use for disease treatment and mitigation, which is prohibited under section 301(a) of the FD&C Act.
