Duong Ha Processing Trading Seafood Company Limited, a Vietnamese seafood processor, was cited for serious violations of seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements under 21 CFR Part 123 during an FDA inspection in July 2024. Despite submitting corrective responses including revised HACCP plans and standard operating procedures, the FDA determined the company continued to have significant deficiencies in its HACCP program implementation. As a result, the company's frozen, raw, vacuum-packaged scombrotoxin-forming fish products were deemed adulterated because they were prepared, packed, or held under conditions that may have rendered them injurious to health.
