National Food Industries LLC, a ready-to-eat snack food manufacturer in Dubai, was cited for serious food labeling violations involving its Mr. Krisps brand products (Salad Chips, Pizza Flavor, and Cheez Balls). The FDA inspection in March 2022 found the products were misbranded under 21 CFR Part 101 due to failures in properly declaring major food allergens on product labels. As enforcement action, the FDA placed these Mr. Krisps products under Detention Without Physical Examination (DWPE) Import Alert #99-22, effectively blocking their entry into the United States until compliance is demonstrated.
