Pan-African Food Distributors Inc./East Africa Boutique LLC was cited for serious violations of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls regulations in their dietary supplement manufacturing and distribution facility in Louisville, Kentucky. FDA inspectors found evidence of rodent and insect contamination throughout the warehouse during an inspection conducted from May 6 through June 4, 2025, rendering the dietary supplement products adulterated under federal law due to preparation, packing, and storage under insanitary conditions. The Kentucky Department for Public Health issued a cease operation order and blanket quarantine on May 12, 2025, and the FDA subsequently published a consumer safety advisory on May 23, 2025, instructing consumers and retailers not to consume or sell the affected products.
