East CK Trading Inc., a food importer located in Long Island City, NY, failed to comply with Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements under section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act during FDA inspections conducted between October and November 2025. The company did not perform required risk-based activities to verify that imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards, as mandated by 21 CFR part 1, subpart L. Although the company acknowledged receipt of the FDA 483a observations and indicated a third-party FSVP Qualified Individual would assist with developing a compliance program, it failed to provide supporting documentation or corrective action evidence to FDA.
