C & A Naturistics was cited for selling unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs through its website, including products such as "AK Forte," "TE DE MORONEL," "Jengibre en Polvo," "Té Uva Ursi," and "RenaLimp" in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that the "AK Forte" product contained undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients acetaminophen and diclofenac, creating a serious health risk of unintentional acetaminophen overdose that could cause liver damage, acute liver failure, or death, as well as serious skin reactions. The company failed to properly declare these ingredients and failed to obtain FDA approval for these products before marketing them in the United States.
