Allure Imports was selling three unapproved drug products—Silver Soul Immune Support, Silver Soul Body Spray, and Vitality C60—through multiple websites and social media platforms with claims that they could mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose, or cure COVID-19 in humans and animals. The products violated the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by being marketed as unapproved new drugs (section 505(a)) and misbranded drugs (section 502), while the animal formulation lacked required approval under the new animal drug provisions (sections 512, 571, and 572). The FDA determined these products were unsafe and adulterated, prohibiting their introduction into interstate commerce under sections 301(a) and (d) of the FD&C Act. The warning was issued jointly by the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research and the Federal Trade Commission following website and social media reviews in February and March 2021.
