Garden Fresh Market failed to establish Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVPs) for pickled tomatoes, pickled tomatoes and cucumbers, and half sour pickles imported from an unnamed foreign supplier, violating 21 CFR part 1 subpart L and section 805 of the FD&C Act. The company had been previously inspected on July 25, 2019, and issued Form FDA 483a observations, but failed to achieve compliance during a follow-up remote inspection conducted March 22-30, 2021. Despite the company's prior commitment to complete required paperwork before importing products, no adequate FSVP was in place for any foods the company imported.
