K & K Distribution, Inc. failed to establish Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) for three imported food products—saffron, chick pea candies, and frozen broad beans (fava beans)—in violation of section 805 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and 21 CFR part 1 subpart L. The company had not performed the required risk-based verification activities to ensure these imported foods met applicable U.S. food safety standards.
