Winfull Corporation, a food and beverage importer based in Houston, Texas, failed to develop, maintain, and follow a Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) for any of its imported foods, including AA Grade Grass Jelly Drink Beverage Base, Passion Fruit with Pulp Syrup, and Kidney Beans, in violation of section 805 of the FD&C Act and 21 CFR part 1, subpart L. The FDA conducted inspections in March-April 2022 and identified significant gaps in the company's verification procedures for thermally processed low-acid canned foods and associated microbiological hazards.
